Earlier today, while I was cleaning my bedroom, I suddenly saw two police cars and a whole bunch of police officers who went into the neighbor’s house. The neighbor came out in handcufs after a few minutes and two police dogs were brought into the house.
I was very surprised by what happened. I do not know my neighbor well, but he has always seemed like a pretty normal person.
What makes a grown man abuse a defenseless child? I get so angry when I read about people like that.
I am not a supporter of civil justice and believes that everyone is entitled to a fair trial. But what exactly is a fair trial for child molesters? They don`t get a fair trial in Norway, not if see it from the victim’s side. Here in Norway you will get maximum 21 years in prison, no matter how horrible crimes you have committed. And it is nowhere near a fair punishment for a child molester.
I think it’s very good that the police in Norway investigate child pornography cases, we don`t need to have people like that on the loose. But what use is it to take them when the penalty is so low? In a few years they will be free people anyway. Do not misunderstand me, I want the police to catch them and imprison them. But I would also want the punishment was far higher, they have destroyed a human life.

In today’s edition of a national tabloid newspaper in Norway, we read about two hobby photographers gruesome discovery in Sweden. They had examined a house that had stood abandoned for 20 years and found a torturrom down in the basement. In the basement they found rope, leather masks, used adult diapers and more. Police in Sweden, which, incidentally, is the neighboring country of Norway, have a suspect but do not know who or if anyone has been trapped in the basement against their will.
The reason I mention this on this blog is because these hobby photographers are people who are engaged in Urban Exploration. And because this case shows what we UE-ers can come over when we explore abandoned places.
So, folks, notify the local police if you come across something suspicious in the places you explore. You can submit anonymous tips to police worldwide.
